Informative Workers' Rights Event Coming Soon to Los Angeles

For any employee interested in learning about their rights in the workplace, Asian Americans Advancing Justice (Los Angeles) is hosting a free workers' rights program at their Los Angeles location (1145 Wilshire Blvd) on Saturday, November 21st, from 1:00-2:30pm.

Various sponsors, including two California Employment Lawyers Association committees, and the Mexican American and Asian Pacific American Bar Associations, have teamed up with Asian Americans Advancing Justice to bring valuable legal knowledge to employees in a range of topics, including laws preventing employer discrimination, retaliation and harassment, laws regarding unpaid wages and overtime, and various other legal protections afforded to workers. Given that individual states provide varying degrees of legal protection to employees, this program is also a valuable opportunity to learn about specific provisions of California's employment laws.

Following the program, attorneys will be available to provide private free consultations, where participants can discuss personal questions or complaints regarding their employment. To ensure that workers of all languages are able to come take advantage of this opportunity, translated handouts will be available in several languages, and various multilingual attorneys will be present for assistance. Light refreshments will be served at the event.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP by November 18th, as seats are limited. Visit for RSVP contact information. If you are unable to attend the program but have questions about your rights as an employee, please contact our team and we will be happy to provide a case evaluation.
